This website was created for educational purposes to connect the descendants of Sarah Jane Harrison.

Public Records

The information posted on the website (www.sarahjaneharrisonfamily.org) consists of public records from 1790 to 1950. 

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) releases census records to the public 72 years after the decennial census.  For example: 1950 Census: was released on April 1, 2022 and the 1960 Census will be be released in April 2032.



Private Records and Access

 Information from 1950 onward is considered private. To protect family members' privacy, this information will only be shared through authorized historians or genealogy researcher. A private, password-protected section of the website is planned for the future. 



Shared Google Documents

 

If you do not have a Google account: You'll need to create a Google account using your email address. This will give you access to Google Drive and Google Docs. Once you've created your Google account, you can access the shared documents by clicking on the links shared on this website.



Steps to create a Gmail account using an existing email address:

  1. Go to the Gmail sign-up page https://accounts.google.com/signin
  2. Enter your existing email address (e.g., Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, or iCloud).
  3. Create a password for your new Gmail account.
  4. Enter your first and last name.
  5. Click "Next" and then "Create."
  6. Verify your existing email address by clicking on the verification link sent to you by Google.



Important notes:

  • Your existing email address will be used as your recovery email address and to verify your identity.
  • You'll need to provide a phone number to complete the sign-up process.
  • Google may ask you to verify your account through a series of security questions or by entering a verification code sent to your phone.
  • By creating a Gmail account using your existing email address, you'll be able to:
  • Once you've created your Google account, you can access the shared documents by clicking on the links shared on this website.
  • Access your Gmail account from any device with an internet connection.
  • Keep your existing email address as a recovery email address in case you forget your Gmail password.
