Online meetings via Zoom are typically held to facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and progress updates among family members, regardless of their geographical locations.

Reasons for Online Meetings

  • Convenience and accessibility: Zoom meetings allow family members to participate from anywhere, reducing the need for in-person meetings and making it easier for family members with busy schedules to attend.
  • Cost-effective: Online meetings eliminate the need for travel and venue rental, making them a cost-effective option.
  • Increased participation: Zoom meetings can encourage more family members to participate, as they can join from anywhere and don't have to worry about traveling to a physical location.

When Online Meetings are Held

  • Regularly scheduled meetings: Committee members may hold regular online meetings, such as monthly or quarterly, to discuss ongoing projects and share updates.
  • Special events and webinars: Online meetings may be held for special events, such as guest lectures, history workshops, or webinars, to educate members on specific topics related to genealogy and family history.
  • Ad-hoc meetings: Committee members may also hold online meetings on an as-needed basis to discuss specific topics or address urgent matters.

These online meetings provide a platform for family members to connect, share knowledge, and work together towards common goals. If you have any questions, please send an email to sarahjaneharrisonfamily@gmail.com

If you are a member of a committee and you will need to:

  1. Host a meeting: To host a meeting, you need a Zoom account.
  2. Screen share: To share your screen, you need a Zoom account.
  3. Use advanced features: Some advanced features, such as webinar hosting, require a Zoom account.
